- General: Recognition that we have a set of ongoing needs to support the Meeting toward which a trusted servant could serve. These needs require a role called Step 1 Meeting coordinator.
- Duties: The person in this role is responsible for finding members willing to share their first steps or similar presentations at Step 1 Meetings of a regular frequency. This role also includes:
- Hosting the actual Step 1 meeting, which has its own slides and process
- Enforcing or encouraging a tone of sensitivity and support before, during, and after the meeting
- Reach out to members to solicit their willingness to give their Step 1 in a meeting
- Answer questions of those who are willing to give Step 1
- Maintain a schedule or list of those willing to give their Step 1s
- Appreciated: Someone who has been going regularly to meetings for a year or more is preferred, because it means prospects approached to give a 1st Step will be more likely to know them and engage with them.
- If you don’t know what a Step 1 meeting is, and you have not been present as an audience member for more than three of them, please do not volunteer for this role.
