- Recognition that we have or may have a set of ongoing needs to support the Group toward which a trusted servant could serve. These needs require a role called Content Coordinator (aka Slide Coordinator). This role is primarily focused on the PowerPoint slides that guide the meetings. That said, this Group has other content, such as the Recovery Tools document, and all content, slides and documents, fall to the services possibly provided by the Content Coordinator.
- Historically this has been done by multiple people, none of whom are themselves a proper graphic artist. That said, high comfort with Microsoft PowerPoint is required, as well as WhatsApp being needed to communicate with various members who tie to the content.
- Considering that one or more slide decks are used to cover a variety of meetings, and there is limited meeting time to discuss multiple items of discussion about what should be in and out of the meeting slide decks, there is a need for this trusted servant. The construction and content in the meeting slides is important as this is the basis of sharing the message and structuring meetings. There is a constant trickle of changes needed in the slides to accommodate new announcements, norms, and content.
- Outside the meeting slides, there is often content (such as our Recovery Guide) that is evolving and growing. This often needs to be created by multiple trusted servants, and consolidated, or linked to in the meeting slides.
- For all these reasons or facts, we need a Content coordinator to be empowered to make decisions on formatting, inclusion of content, exclusion of content, naming and other issues that arise. This member, we hope, might use digital means to solicit feedback or consensus from members as has been done in the past.
- This trusted servant will need to say no from time to time when solicited by a single member to make slide changes. This coordinator is empowered to not have to get permission from business meetings to make content changes each time, but may request votes on whole decks, groups of slides, or individual slides from time to time. Considering that the meeting slide deck crosses meetings, as does decisions by whoever is serving as Meeting Coordinator, it is expected Content Coordinator, Meeting coordinator, and General Service Representative would work with each other as needed.
